Lakshmi Menon, the hottest indian model right now, was pick to grace the cover of the April 2009 issue of Dazed & Confused. Let me just say that this is one the sickest covers I ever seen in a while, from the colors, to layout and the styling (The dress she's wearing it's Dolce and Gabbana from their Spring/Summer 2009 collection). Photographer Josh Olins and the creative director, Nicola Formichetti have truly done an amazing job with this issue, well at least for the cover shoot.
I'm glad to see more ethnic, non-caucasian models on the cover of top magazines like this one for instance. This just shows that, the fashion industry is slightly shifting and slowly accepting a more welcoming, open-minded perspective, and less restricted and racist. I hope this issue as well inspires more ethnic models out there who are not exactly "beautiful" or a size 0.
