D&G Men Fall/Winter 2009/10

After reviewing different collections from the Fall/Winter 09/10 season. I felt there was a need to emphasize the most outstanding collections in New York, Milan and Paris.
First of all, D&G have always been one of my favorite brands for a while now, for a couple of different reasons that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana showed in the 2009/10 Fall-Winter season.
In this collection the Italian duo had for reference Oscar Wilde, a very controversial man in the 1800's, he was an Irish playwright, poet and author and always took his style very seriously. Also there was a sense of militarism throughout the whole collection which is somewhat reminiscence of their collections a couple of seasons ago, which took an revolutionary European type of military theme.
One aspect I always liked about D&G is their mix of high and low, casual and formal, rugged and refined. Here are some of the looks that took my attention.
A ripped pair of jeans and a tailored jacket is a perfect example of that.
There were also tees with Oscar Wilde's face printed on their chest over strong coats paired with pinstripe suit-pants and accessorized with scarfs and duffle bags.
Glad to see at least one of the tee was white and black. (I want one!)
As always D&G always shows a well-tailored italian suit and this season was not an exception.
The evening looks showed a heavy brocade on the tux jackets which looked super-expensive.
The black tux, never goes out of style , and it seems like Domenico and Steffano agree.
